Fenced Out

About 40 feet to the right of the barbed wire fence is an old rusty water tank. It is set down in a little crevice so that only the top two feet is visible. You can see it as you drive along Bena Road, but, can't access it from anywhere except the other side of the fence. I've seen it for years and would like to shoot it, but, I'm not too much on going over barbed wire.

Faces

Cattle have been coming to this rock on Hwy 223 in Kern County for over a hundred years. At first, they just milled around munching grass and then one young bull accidently head-butted the rock with his horn and a chip of rock fell off. As a result, young bulls continually horn the rock to this day; especially, the artist bulls.
